Community Learn to Row Event

Calling all former CCR Rowers, parents of current rowers, and adults from the Tallahassee and surrounding area!

Capital City Rowing, in conjunction with USRowing, is excited to announce National Learn To Row Day on June 5, 2021. 

The fun starts at 9:00am sharp, where you will learn the basics of rowing, including:

• Learn to properly use an erg (ergometer, indoor rowing machine)
  
• View a rowing shell
• Learn the parts of a boat and safety terminology
• Experience rowing on Lake Hall

 Assuming the weather cooperates, you will have the opportunity to get in a boat (along with a few experienced rowers and a coxswain). In addition to weather considerations, participation in this activity is limited by the availability of sufficient equipment and personnel, so first come, first served.  The event will end roughly at 12:00pm.

The fee is $20 for current CCR members (parents) and $30 for non-members.  Each participant will receive a Capital City Rowing cooling towel. Register now because space is limited!  This event is for adults 18+ only (and yes, people row well into their 80's!)
